  3. <hi style=afpcap>A Boeing B-52 Stratofortress cruises at high altitude. The B-52, nicknamed the "Buff" (for Big Ugly Fat Fucker), is the longest-serving aircraft in the history of warfare. This ship has navigation beacons alight. The bulge under the nose is one of the fairings for the EVS (electro-optical viewing system) which allows the "Buff" to attack targets at treetop level.</hi>
